Dress Code & Class Behavior:

Attendance:  Dancers must be on time.  If you are going to be absent you must call to inform GottaDance.  Students arriving 15 minutes after class starts can only participate with permission from instructor. 

Dress Code:  Hair must be pulled back in ponytail or worn in bun for ballet.  No jewelry.  Non- dangling earrings are okay.  Aside from Ballet classes listed below appropriate form fitting dance attire is required for all classes.  No jeans!  Tights must be worn under skirts. 

Pre Ballet:  Light pink leotard

Ballet I:  Royal blue leotard

Ballet II:  Burgundy leotard

Ballet III:  Black leotard

Ballet IV:   Black leotard

Lyrical:  Any color leotard

Boys:  Black ballet shoes, appropriate dance attire

All levels are to wear pink tights and pink ballet shoes.

Spectators:  Parents & visitors may stay and observe class in the waiting area only.  No interrupting during class time.  Please keep a positive attitude at all times.  We will be happy to schedule a time to discuss any issue or answer questions regarding your child after class.

Class Placement:  Placement of a students class level is based on age, ability, maturity and an individual assessment of progress from the previous year.  Progression to the next level is based on the student's individual progress and is at the sole discretion of the instructors.  Each students progress is reviewed on an ongoing basis throughout the year.  We take pride in the progress of our students and hope you trust our judgment.  Classes are also restructured each year depending on the incoming group of students into that level.
